The ground everything starts from.It also means alone \u2014 because every forest begins that way, isolated, surrounded by concrete or asphalt or industrial land.This is an annual aerial photography series \u2014 four Miyawaki mini-forests in Portugal photographed from above every year, their forms assembled into a single composition. The S was photographed at Lisnave shipyard, Set\u00fabal. The first O, also at Lisnave \u2014 the same forest, seen from directly above. The L at Escola de Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o, Lisbon. The second O at the A5 motorway service station, on planting day \u2014 the people who built it still gathered in a circle around the bare earth.This image will never repeat. Next year the forests will have grown, and SOLO 2026 will be different. Organic cotton. Circular production. Every purchase supports the next island.<\/p>
